Mauricio Pereira

Mauricio Pereira has enjoyed a long-term career in renewable energy consultancy, having focused on leadership and management of technical teams, business development, P&L management, and project sponsorship.

Mauricio has extensive experience in managing and directing strategic assignments associated with the development, construction and operation of wind, solar and energy storage projects. He has successfully defined and implemented visions and strategies across different departments, while also taking ownership of KPIs and business development strategies in major consultancy firms in EMEA and LATAM. Throughout his career, Mauricio has advised on a wide range of project development services as measurement campaigns definitions, wind/solar/and SCADA data analysis, wind turbine and solar panel inspections, flow modelling, energy analysis, TDDs and report writing. He has also conducted site condition calculations, shadow flicker, noise modelling and visual impact assessments. Currently, Mauricio holds technical accountability for projects delivered by ERM Renewable Advisory UK and Ireland.

Mauricio trained as a Mechanical Engineer and is also qualified in Renewable Energy. He is a Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (CEng IMechE). Mauricio is proficient in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Tugce Sahin recently joined the RCG London team as Principal.  She has a comprehensive understanding and experience of the offshore renewable energy markets.

Tugce is an expert in market intelligence, market analysis, and delivering successful consulting projects. As Principal, she has the responsibility of developing a strategy for RCG’s market intelligence services and supporting all global practice areas to deliver management consulting, and technical advisory work.

Tugce has held energy industry leadership roles and has led renewable consultancy projects. This includes serving as a research manager and offshore wind consultant. She led, secured, and delivered successful consulting projects to leading offshore wind value chain companies. The assignments have included due diligence and providing strategic advice for new market entry.  Tugce also has experience in market research, numerical analysis, and report writing across the offshore wind and subsea cable markets.

Tugce trained as a chemical engineer and has a post-graduate degree in energy engineering and environmental management.

Juan García-Faure is a Senior Consultant at RCG with experience in the renewable energy industry and environmental consultancy. During the last 15 years he has been working for multinational manufacturers in the wind and solar photovoltaic sectors.

Juan is an expert in sales and business development for international large complex projects and has responsibility for the elaboration of growth plans, building long-term relationships and partnerships with new and existing clients by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.

Juan has been working for 10 years as Technical Sales Manager for a global wind turbine manufacturer, developer of wind farm projects and provider of EPC and maintenance services. Previously he worked for 5 years in the solar photovoltaic sector as Business Development Manager and Key Account Manager for a global manufacturer company and a multinational developer.  Juan has provided technical and commercial support to customers on the development of their renewable energy projects in Europe, North Africa and Middle East, from greenfield to ready to build phase. Juan has broad experience in bid and tender procedures, project acquisition process and contract negotiation of large-scale projects of international renewable energy (EPC, FIDIC, supply, installation and maintenance).

Juan is an agricultural engineer specialized in rural engineering and has additional qualifications in renewable energy and energy efficiency. He also is trained in business administration.

Grant Dawson is a Principal with RCG in Taipei. His experience is primarily based on delivering technical due diligence assignments having managed and supported various international projects as a technical advisor for lenders, investors and vendors.

Grant’s experience as a technical consultant ranges from the pre-financial close stage through to construction and operation of over 25 onshore and offshore wind projects across Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. His specific knowledge includes the technical risks of project contracts, construction schedules, operation and maintenance strategies and financial modelling.

Prior to joining RCG, Grant worked at a leading, global engineering consultancy. Here he was engaged in numerous international due diligence assignments throughout the project lifecycle. He was responsible for project construction elements, in particular schedules and construction accessibility modelling to independently assess weather downtime and strategy for offshore project construction in Taiwan, the UK and USA. He also has experience in managing multidisciplinary teams when representing project lenders and investors.

Grant has a master’s degree in electrical and mechanical engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, where he focused specifically on renewable energy and technology modules.

Jesse Broehl is a Principal in RCG’s New York Office. He has over a decade of experience as a research analyst, consultant and wind energy subject matter expert journalist covering renewable energy. Mr. Broehl uniquely blends technical and industry knowledge on the US renewable energy market with years of writing and market report authorship experience.

Mr. Broehl is an experienced renewables analyst and has lead authorship on multiple technical and market intelligence reports. His experience includes over a decade focusing analyses on wind energy primarily, and solar and energy storage secondarily. As a skilled writer and industry analyst, Mr. Broehl is familiar with all aspects of the renewables market both domestically in the US and globally, and excels in market insights and strategy. He has served clients from across the industry, including wind turbine OEM companies, private equity companies, oil companies, and others.

Mr Broehl joins RCG from the leading US trade group for renewables, where he was a key member in renewable energy market, policy, and technology trend research and analyses. As a research analyst and consultant at an energy consultancy, Mr Broehl managed the firm’s global wind energy market analysis, competitive assessments, product and supply chain analysis, market forecasts and emerging technologies and strategies. In this role he was also the lead author on multiple annual reports and data products. Mr. Broehl has a degree in journalism and multiple lead authorship credits to his name.

Josiah Mault is a Principal with RCG in Boston. He has extensive experience in wind resource and energy assessments for pre- and post-construction projects.

Mr. Mault is highly experienced in all aspects of wind resource and energy yield analyses for both onshore and offshore projects, having supported of 50 GW of projects. He provides key advice on pre- and post-construction projects to mitigate technical risks and reduce uncertainty in support of development and financing.

Before joining RCG, Mr. Mault led a team of analysts at a major renewable energy consultancy performing bankable energy yield assessments. He was responsible for managing projects and directing analysis methodologies to ensure delivery of robust high-quality deliverables to clients. His 13+ years of energy yield experience covers a broad range of technologies from remote sensing, mesoscale modelling, and CFD modelling as well as project types that include pre-construction, operational, repowering, hybrid, turbine power performance, site conditions, optimization, and siting.

Mr. Mault has a degree in atmospheric sciences, with a focus on meteorology.
