London, United Kingdom – The Renewables Consulting Group (RCG) has been appointed to provide The Crown Estate with advice on technical aspects for a potential future round of offshore wind leasing in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
As part of its work to explore the potential for new offshore wind leasing, The Crown Estate has begun engagement with industry and stakeholders on its early work to design a possible new leasing round.
During information days, held 23-25 July, it was confirmed that RCG will be serving as technical advisor, as part of The Crown Estate’s Potential New Leasing project team, alongside KPMG as commercial advisor, NIRAS as HRA advisor and Hogan Lovells as legal advisor.
RCG chief executive officer Sebastian Chivers said that future offshore wind leasing will be critical in securing the UK’s offshore wind pipeline, delivering large-scale, low-carbon power and creating jobs opportunities across the country.
