London, UK – A team from The Renewables Consulting Group (RCG) participated in the 31st running of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge on Wednesday, 4th July.
The event drew a capacity crowd featuring 28,674 entrants from 733 companies. The Corporate Challenge kicked-off in London in 1987 and has been held in Battersea Park next to the River Thames each year since 1992. The run aims to emphasize the value of workplace fitness and camaraderie.
RCG’s team put in a highly credible performance (but with an unspecified time) – leading chef de mission, Dan Stevens, to wonder if the focus on camaraderie rather than workplace fitness was the right tactic.
“I told the team to keep a positive mental attitude and focus on the post-race party – I knew they’d get through it some how.” – Dan Stevens

Everyone from RCG had a great day and we were proud to participate in a fantastic event alongside many other leading companies.
J.P. Morgan commemorated the efforts of all participants by donating to Cancer Research UK. The national charity funds over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses who work to save more lives by preventing cancer, diagnosing it earlier and developing new and kinder treatments. Cancer Research UK’s work has led to some of the biggest breakthroughs in cancer treatments such as advances in chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.
