RCG is attending and participating in the AWEA’s annual WINDPOWER Conference, May 20-23, 2019. This year’s edition is being held in Houston, TX.
WINDPOWER is one of the premier annual events for senior wind energy executives and professionals, and is a chance to make the connections that can move the industry forward.
The event is an opportunity to bring together experts in both the onshore and offshore sectors of the wind industry. Houston is a global centre for energy and Texas a leading state for onshore wind energy. One of the themes that we will be exploring is the development of a supply chain to serve the United States’ growing offshore wind market. The energy industry in Texas is well placed to capitalise on its world-leading offshore energy experience, repurposing that towards offshore wind.
Doug Pfeister from RCG will be moderating the following session: The Growing Offshore Wind Industry: Supply Chain Projections and Opportunities Through 2030
Offshore wind projects are ramping up preparations to install the first large-scale offshore wind projects in the U.S., and developers will need to find the most cost-effective supply chain options for this nascent U.S. industry. This seminar will provide a helpful tutorial for those just getting started in this market by estimating the supply chain deliverables, both in terms of quantities and cost; shedding light on the procurement process; and laying out timelines.
Stephanie McClellan and Simon Redfern, both from RCG, will present results of the Offshore Wind Supply Chain Study, recently published by the Special Imitative for Offshore Wind, University of Delaware.
This is a special pre-conference seminar, taking place on Monday, May 20, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, in Conference room 320AB.
RCG is proud to support AWEA WINDPOWER 2019 and is looking forward to meeting existing and future clients at the conference.
