RCG is attending and participating in the AWEA Offshore WINDPOWER 2018 Conference, October 16 – 17, 2018. The conference is being held in Washington, DC.
The conference is taking place at The Hyatt on Capitol Hill, Washington, DC, USA.
The annual event already has a dedicated community of top developers and experts from around the world, making it one of the largest gatherings of offshore wind energy professionals in the United States. With the offshore wind industry, key stakeholders, the federal government, and states across the United States working hard to get projects in the water as soon as possible, there couldn’t be a better time for the event.
In June, DOE announced the selection of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to administer offshore wind research and development (R&D) consortium – a cooperative innovation hub that will bring together industry, academia, government and other stakeholders to advance offshore wind plant technologies, develop innovative methods for wind resource and site characterization, and develop advanced technology solutions for installation, operation, maintenance, and supply chain. The overall goal of the consortium is aimed at reducing the cost of offshore wind in the United States. RCG’s Doug Pfeister will be speaking in a special session that will allow attendees to learn about what has happened since the announcement; what the framework of the consortium is; the R&D road-mapping activities; and the different ways of participating in the consortium.
Doug Pfeister from RCG will be speaking in the following session: Innovating Together: The Latest on the National Offshore Wind R&D Consortium, Wednesday, October 17, 2018, 2:40 PM – 3:40 PM.
RCG is proud to support AWEA Offshore WINDPOWER 2018 and is looking forward to meeting existing and future clients at the conference.
